Awards and Recognition

In 2010 I was awarded the Sharon Tietjen Memorial Award for Exceptional Merit by the Colored Pencil Society of America for my colored pencil drawing MELK ABBEY

In 2011 I received three awards for my Colored Pencil drawings.

The first was the EXPY Best of Show Award and the Prismacolor Award by the Colored Pencil Society of America for my colored pencil drawing THE OPEN DOOR.

Also in 2011 I was awarded an honorable mention in ARTIST MAGAZINE'S All Media Competition for my colored pencil drawing MADISON DOME.  I was in competition with 40,000 other artists for this competition.

The third award I received in 2011 was when my drawing "Tandem Ponies" was awarded 7th place in Ex Arte Equinus, an International competition featuring artists who specialize in the Equine form.   The drawing was published in the Ex Arte Equinus book, a printed and bound version of the juried gallery show.  The award winners, including my drawing represented 10% of the total number of entries.
